Optimizing the Buyer Journey for Architects & Designers: EPD’s A&D Experience Hub

The need:
Architects and designers need quick, intuitive access to products, technical documentation, and sample materials in order to specify products confidently and efficiently. EPD aimed to create a centralized digital destination that:
- Offered a curated, brand-aligned experience for A&D professionals.
- Enabled approved users to order free decorative window film samples.
- Provided interactive tools and technical resources to support the specification process.
- Integrated seamlessly with their existing online store infrastructure.

Our Approach
We collaborated closely with EPD’s design and leadership teams to bring the vision of an “A&D Experience Hub” to life. Our solution focused on streamlining the product discovery and sample ordering while reinforcing brand trust and user confidence at every step.
Key components included:
Custom User Role & Gated Access:
We configured a new user role within EPD’s online store platform to provide A&D professionals with exclusive access to free decorative film samples and role-based pricing.
Interactive Decorative Film Selector:
We developed a user-friendly tool to help visitors identify products that match their visual preferences and technical requirements, simplifying the selection process.

Centralized Resource Hub:
The Experience Hub includes direct access to product information, LEED credit details, downloadable technical documents, and sample order links all in one place.
Integrated UX & Brand Alignment:
We partnered with the client’s graphic designer to translate her creative direction into an optimized, intuitive experience aligned with the expectations of the A&D community.
Backend Efficiency:
Our development team implemented role-based access rules that make the sample ordering experience seamless for end users and efficient for internal operations.
