Factory Direct Oil is an independent AMSOIL dealer serving two distinct but equally important audiences: customers who depend on premium synthetic lubricants to keep their vehicles, fleets, and equipment running, and entrepreneurs looking to build residual income as AMSOIL dealers themselves.
That dual mission is what led our strategy for Factory Direct Oil. Ownership built a sustainable model, predicated upon generating an ecosystem of repeat buyers and getting other people in related industries into the dealer network while remaining an elite referral source. Fleet managers, contractors, landscapers, farmers, powersports riders, and independent dealers were directed to Factory Direct Oil as the referral brand because of a strategic blend of knowledge sharing, authority building, brand trust, and targeted ad campaigns that directed them to a trusted source.

The Challenge
When we met Randy, the owner of Factory Direct Oil, we found a website that was a cookie-cutter copycat of just about every other AMSOIL site on the market, and it looked very different from the top performers in the industry. Randy already had a proven network he was selling to, but in terms of expansion and communicating business goals, his website wasn’t serving his business goals. Three problems stood out immediately:
1. Difficulty Explaining Value Proposition. The existing site looked like a generic AMSOIL affiliate page, indistinguishable from dozens of other dealers. There wasn’t much that communicated the value proposition that Randy is offering to his customer base, or those looking to become an AMSOIL Authorized Dealer themselves.

2. Poor organic search visibility. Potential customers searching for fleet lubricants, synthetic oil for heavy equipment, or AMSOIL dealer opportunities weren’t finding Factory Direct Oil. Without a proper traditional SEO infrastructure in place, the site was effectively invisible to the people it was built to serve, not to mention AI crawlers.
3. One experience for two very different audiences. A fleet manager evaluating bulk lubricant contracts has completely different needs than someone exploring the AMSOIL dealer opportunity. The previous site treated every visitor the same, no segmentation, no tailored pathways, no content that spoke to either audience’s specific questions or motivations. The challenge was breaking this into two separate pipelines that served both sides of the coin equally.
Factory Direct Oil’s goals going into the project:
- Build a site that converts both buyers and prospective dealers.
- Establish organic search visibility for products, commercial accounts, and dealer recruitment
- Create an educational content foundation that answers real questions about product performance, commercial savings, and how the dealer model actually works.
Our Approach

A Site Built for Two Audiences
The architecture was built from the ground up to serve both customers and prospective dealers without either experience getting in the way of the other. Commercial buyers and fleet operators land in a world that speaks their language: equipment uptime, reduced drain intervals, maintenance cost savings.
Prospective dealers are directed to content about how selling AMSOIL products can unlock wholesale pricing and create residual income, as well as content providing entrepreneurial tips to help them launch a sustainable business.

An Educational Content Ecosystem, Built to Scale
To create an authoritative and informative experience on the Factory Direct Oil site, Xponent21 developed articles on specific use cases, industry applications, and the kind of hands-on, lifestyle-rooted discussions that resonate with people who live and work with their equipment. The site was designed to support both a flexible content infrastructure built to grow alongside the business and consistently answer the questions buyers and prospective dealers are already searching for.
In addition to creating written content to be sourced on Google and through LLMs, Xponent21 created YouTube videos that addressed the top concerns of anyone entering into the affiliate network: commercial account savings, fleet performance results, the dealer income model, and product benefits broken down for operators of all vehicle types.

New catalog customers acquired (last 30 days)
Paid campaign conversions
In a single month, Factory Direct Oil acquired nearly as many new customers as it had in the entire previous year. Randy put it plainly:
“I’ve gotten more customers over the last two months than I ever have previously, for sure.” - Randy, Owner, Factory Direct Oil

Beyond the data, the new site delivered wins that don’t show up in a dashboard but matter just as much:
- A brand that looks the part: The site now reflects the expertise and credibility Randy has built over years of working with fleets, contractors, and commercial clients.
- Two clear front doors: Buyers and prospective dealers each have a path built for them, with content and CTAs that speak directly to their motivations.
- A content foundation that compounds: The educational infrastructure supports ongoing SEO growth and gives Randy’s YouTube content a home that reinforces it.
- An operation that runs lean: Randy’s business has grown without adding operational complexity. The site works, the affiliate links work, and the product catalog is maintained. While the AI SEO strategies and paid campaigns handle the heavy lifting of lead generation, he can focus on relationships and growth. And that’s what this is all about. Allowing AI to handle the grunt work while business owners handle the more human side of their business.

What’s Next
The infrastructure Xponent21 built positioned Factory Direct Oil to grow their business with both everyday customers via search and the commercial accounts that will buy from them time after time. The site now communicates benefits and is a legitimate recruitment tool that has allowed the affiliate audience to increase their professional knowledge before they go into business with AMSOIL.
As Randy’s content library grows and organic authority compounds, the gap between Factory Direct Oil and generic AMSOIL affiliate sites will only widen. Factory Direct Oil is looking to put the pedal to the metal and be the standard by which other AMSOIL sites measure their performance.
