Nonprofit Website Design
From time to time, we select a nonprofit to provide pro-bono marketing assistance to. Most recently, we worked with the Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen to provide their organization with a redesigned website.
Already being made up of a bunch of smart people, their previous website was already developed on the WordPress platform, our content management solution (CMS) or choice, so all we had to do was give it a new face and install some technology that would streamline donations and add new functionality.
The main addition to the new website design was the ability to take and record donations right on the website. Previously, visitors clicked on a PayPal button to make their donation, while now the donation information is collected entirely on the site and only payment needs to be made with PayPal. This allows for data to be added to their donor management software much more easily.
Another new feature of the website design is the ability to sell right on their website. A couple of examples include their recent sale of tickets to a fundraiser as well as their ongoing sale of awareness wristbands.
Lastly, the site makes it easier for Spanish speaking visitors to find vital information about the organization’s services. With a large hispanic clientele, this was imperative.
We’re excited to be able to use our skills for good and look forward to future website design, and other marketing projects, that we can deliver to worthwhile causes. Do you know of someone who could use our help? Give us a shout below and we’ll add them to our list for the next round of pro-bono work.
